Aji Ichi is an old favorite Japanese restaurant that has been on Guam for many years. There are three locations, one in Upper Tumon across from Nissan Motors on Marine Drive (next to the Wellness Center, where you can find me!) that has a classic diner feel and a great view of Tumon Bay at sunset. The second location is within Tumon Bay behind Fuji Ichiban (the 24-hour ramen house) across the street from Acanta Mall that has a cozy and private, everyday restaurant feel. The third location is at GPO in the food court, which is a satellite restaurant, but it has the best prices of the three locations.
I find their food quite tasty, although if you are sensitive to MSG, you should probably avoid this restaurant. They have several menu items for vegans, including:
Tofu Salad
Miso Soup
Edamame (Soybeans in the pod)
Avocado & Cucumber Rolls
Vegetable Stir Fry
When you order something that needs to be adjusted for your dietary needs, be sure to double and triple check with the servers, to ensure you get what you order (ie. no mayo, no oyster sauce, etc). We have many unique things on Guam, and Aji Ichi is our local Japanese diner.
