Oatmeal Mask
Organic oatmeal is a gentle exfoliant, reduces inflammation and absorbs excess oil. The oatmeal can be ground in a coffee grinder or used whole. It can be used daily by itself with a little warm water or with some soap.
Leave the oatmeal mask on for 10 or more minutes and rinse with water. My face feels refreshed, matte, and oily pores minimized.
Add some of these ingredients for to tailor the mask to your skin care needs:
tea tree oil - acne or rosacea
probiotics - acne or rosacea
(empty a capsule into the mixture)
avocado - moisture
soy or nut milks - soften
An ayurvedic cosmetologist once told me to only products on my skin that you can eat. Our skin is porous and what we use on our skin will be absorbed into our bodies.
I hope you enjoy this mask. I use it a few times a week. It is so great, especially in the tropics with our warm moist air which can increase oil production on the skin.
